FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Aarti Prochnow and Adelaide Kreutel each earned a consolation singles victory Sunday as the Haverford College women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships at the University of Mary Washington.
In the championship draw's consolation bracket, Prochnow defeated Washington and Lee's Greer Webb, 8-5, while Kreutel topped Susanna Whitehead of Washington and Lee by the same score. Jolie Zink fell to Washington and Lee's Sarah Ladd.
In Blue 1 singles action, Keira Kapur dropped an 8-7 (7-5) decision to Swarthmore's Diya Gupta in the quarterfinals. Natalia Chapa fell to Carnegie Mellon's Rachel Li, 8-1.
Kreutel and Isabella Paradisi added an emphatic 8-3 win over Lynchburg's Isadora Lima and Kayla Kosiorek in doubles consolation play. Zink and Sarah Siolkowski fell 8-3 in their consolation doubles match.
The Fords next return to action Saturday, Oct. 3, for Alumnae Day as part of Haverford's Homecoming weekend.
