HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's tennis team has earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award for the 23rd consecutive year. Additionally, 10 members of the program were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year.
Haverford was one of 177 NCAA Division III women's tennis programs to receive the All-Academic Team distinction in 2026. A total of 1,309 Division III women's tennis student-athletes earned individual recognition from the ITA.
To qualify as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale during the current academic year while remaining eligible and in good standing with their institution.
The 10 Fords named ITA Scholar-Athletes were Sophie Capone, Natalia Chapa, Kirsten Close, Maddy Kayyali, Sriya Krishnan, Adelaide Kreutel, Abhi Menon, Erika Phanord, Mallika Reddy and Jolie Zink.
During the 2026 dual match campaign, the Fords finished 11-11, reaching as high as No. 30 in the ITA Rankings on April 15, and made their first Centennial Conference Championship appearance since 2018. The young Scarlet and Black squad will look to carry momentum into the 2026-27 season, as this year's roster featured many underclassmen poised to take on even larger roles next season.
