Cohen, Prusek Honored With All-Region Designation For Baseball

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College baseball team earned strong representation on the All-Region 5 teams, as both D3Baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released their postseason honors Tuesday afternoon.

Senior starting pitcher Sam Cohen was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region second team and the D3Baseball.com third team. Sophomore infielder Miles Prusek earned second-team All-Region honors from D3Baseball.com and third-team recognition from the ABCA.

Cohen added to an impressive postseason resume after earning Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year honors and a spot on the All-Conference First Team following a dominant season on the mound. The senior posted a 5-3 record across 10 starts, compiling a 4.45 ERA and 1.43 WHIP while striking out a conference-best 65 batters in 54.2 innings pitched.

Cohen led the Centennial Conference in both strikeouts and strikeouts looking (24), while also ranking sixth in innings pitched and eighth in ERA.

The Ellicott City, Md., native closed his season in emphatic fashion with a complete-game shutout against Dickinson on April 26, allowing just five hits while striking out a season-high 10 batters over 9.0 innings. His consistency atop the rotation proved critical throughout conference play, as he limited opponents to four hits or fewer in multiple outings, including a six-inning scoreless performance against Ursinus on April 17.

Prusek emerged as one of the region's most complete offensive players in 2026. He led Haverford in hits (53) and tied for the team lead in runs scored (36), while also pacing the Fords in doubles with 14. Prusek finished second on the roster in home runs (8), RBI (39), batting average (.379), and OPS (1.158), providing steady middle-of-the-order production throughout the season.

Among Centennial Conference hitters, Prusek ranked ninth in both slugging percentage (.679) and doubles, solidifying himself as one of Haverford's most reliable offensive contributors.

The Richmond, Va., native delivered several clutch performances throughout the spring, including a five-RBI outing against Dickinson on April 26. He also recorded five three-hit games, highlighted by a three-hit, four-RBI performance against Washington College on April 18. Defensively, Prusek maintained a .928 fielding percentage at third base.

D3Baseball.com All-America teams are scheduled to be announced Thursday, May 28, while the ABCA All-America selections will be unveiled during the pre-championship banquet at the NCAA Division III World Series in Eastlake later that evening.

The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced Wednesday, June 17, while the 2026 ABCA NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive Teams are slated for release Thursday, June 18.
