TEMPE, Ariz. – All seven members of the 2024–25 Haverford College women's tennis team were recognized for their academic achievements, as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) unveiled its Division III Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday afternoon. The squad also received the ITA's All-Academic Team Award for the 2025 season.
In the sport of tennis, student-athletes continue to exceed expectations both in the classroom and on the court. In 2025, 1,269 Division III women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 165 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
To be named a Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year and be eligible and in good standing with the institution.
The Haverford student-athletes earning this award included Rachael Fitzgerald, Sriya Krishnan, Abhi Menon, Erika Phanord, Caroline Gay, Lucy King, and Mallika Reddy.
The 2024–25 season marks the 22nd consecutive year that the women's tennis team has been honored with an ITA All-Academic Team Award. To earn this award, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20.
