Men's DMR, Jory Lee Qualify for NCAA Championships

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's indoor track & field team will be represented by two entries at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, as the distance medley relay and triple jumper Jory Lee have officially qualified for the national meet. The championships will be held March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Fords' distance medley relay of Micah Lachman, Thomas Fendig, Reef Kirchner, and Simon Lane secured its place in the national field after delivering a record-breaking performance at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet. The quartet combined to shatter a 15-year-old school record in the event, earning a position among the top relay teams in the nation heading into the championship meet as they will enter with the ninth seed (9:45.39) for Friday night's race (6:30 p.m. CT).

Lee also punched his ticket to nationals in the triple jump, earning a spot among the top competitors in Division III and giving Haverford representation in both the field and on the track at the national championships as the NYC native will enter as the 18th seed (14.65 meters). He will jump on Saturday morning (11 a.m. CT).

For the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, the top 20 declared student-athletes in each individual event—including the heptathlon on the men's side and the pentathlon on the women's side—are selected to compete. In relay events, the top 12 declared relay teams, limited to one team per institution, are accepted into the national field. The national championships will be hosted by the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) in conjunction with the Birmingham CrossPlex.

The complete list of participants for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships is available through Leone Timing at the following link.  Additional information regarding the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships can be found at NCAA.com.

Haverford's national qualifiers will begin competition in Birmingham when the championships get underway on Friday.
