Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that 411 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's 2025-2026 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports, the most for a winter season in the league's 30-year history. The previous high was 410 set in 2024-2025.
The winter championship sports include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's squash, and men's and women's swimming and diving. To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic team a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.
Seven members of the Haverford men's squash team earned Liberty League Winter All-Academic recognition: Francis Betkowski (Mercersburg, Pa.), Daniel Braun (Chicago, Ill.), Aaryaman Jaising (Mumbai, India), Henry Jiang (Vancouver, B.C.), Arvin Krishnan (Easton, Conn.), Kai Schinaman (Tokyo, Japan), and Qianzhi Zhao (Suzhou, China). Braun, Jaising, Krishnan, Schinaman, and Zhao are repeat honorees.
"The Liberty League has always taken great pride in the academic success of our student-athletes," said King. "Our student-athletes continue to demonstrate that it is possible to not only excel academically but to achieve athletically at the highest levels in Division III. I congratulate and salute them on their outstanding academic achievements."
