POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Haverford College women's squash team (2-4) split their day at the Vassar Round Robin, falling 9-0 to No. 22 St. Lawrence before bouncing back with an 8-1 victory over host No. 31 Vassar to secure the split at Kenyon Hall.

Against the Saints, highlights included
Julia Carrasco earning a first-game victory over Madeleine Martin at the third flight, taking an 11-8 decision before Martin prevailed in four games. Elsewhere,
Tyler Kinkema was engaged in a marathon first-game battle against Kamya Franklin at the top flight, falling 18-16 before dropping the next two games 11-5 and 11-8.
Haverford 8, Vassar 1
The Fords were in full command against the Brewers, leaving Kenyon Hall on a high note.
Joelle Phuah staged a stellar comeback against Charlotte Tobin at the first flight, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to win 12-10, 11-6, 11-4.
At the second flight,
Zoe Liu won the first two games before Hope Fireison took the third, but Liu closed out the match in four (11-7, 12-10, 8-11, 11-7). Vassar earned its lone victory at the third flight, as Adriana Ordaya edged Carrasco in an extended fourth game (8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 13-11).

Amy Saxon, and
Madeline Bulbulia each earned sweeps at the fourth, fifth, and sixth lights, showcasing Haverford's depth. The trio allowed just 36 points combined, while Sara Kotapka rallied from 2-0 down to defeat Eaint May in five games at the seventh flight (11-9, 11-5, 11-7). Kinkema closed out the day with a strong 3-0 victory over Elta Bajrami at the eighth flight, and
Angelina Xu was awarded a default victory at the ninth flight.
With the split at Vassar, the Fords conclude the 2025 portion of their schedule and will return to action in the spring semester, beginning with the Wesleyan/Connecticut College Round Robin in the Nutmeg State on January 16, 2026.
