HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's squash team placed four members of the team on the College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar-Athlete listing, as announced by the governing body of collegiate squash in a release on Wednesday.
Honorees from Haverford included juniors Matilda Chartener, Zoe Liu, Joelle Phuah, and senior Amy Saxon. This is the first honor for this group of Fords, while Liu, Phuah and Saxon add the honor to All-Liberty League recognition last month.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be a two-time varsity letter winner at the school she is currently attending and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. The student-athlete must also be a junior or senior and have played a top-10 ladder position for the majority of scheduled CSA sanctioned matches during the season.
The Fords finished the season with a 7-12 overall record and climbed as high as No. 27 in the CSA national rankings, providing a strong foundation for a young roster moving forward.
