PHILADELPHIA — The No. 27 Haverford College women's squash team fell by a 7-2 final to No. 26 Dickinson on day two of the CSA Divisional Team Championships at the Specter Center on Saturday morning in the Walker Cup Consolation Semifinal.
After Gizelle Zhang won by default in the ninth flight, the Fords picked up a victory in the middle of the ladder, highlighted by a strong showing at sixth flight as Matilda Chartener defeated Grace Miller in straight games, 11-7, 11-4, 11-1.
Dickinson claimed the remaining contested matches. At first flight, Anabel Romero Gemmell topped Joelle Phuah, 11-6, 11-3, 11-1. Kathryn Herring defeated Zoe Liu at second flight, 11-4, 11-1, 11-2. At third flight, Thea Hegde recorded an 11-4, 11-2, 11-6 victory over Avallina Orfield, while Victoria Savelius earned an 11-7, 11-4, 11-2 win against Ofri Geva at fourth flight.
At fifth flight, Gabi El-Masry prevailed over Amy Saxon, 11-5, 11-2, 11-5. Lila Brown secured a straight-sets victory over Sarah Kotapka, 11-3, 11-6, 11-4, at seventh flight, and Lauren Flowers completed an 11-4, 11-7, 11-3 result against Angelina Xu at eighth flight.
The loss to the Red Devils concludes the 2025-26 campaign for Haverford College women's squash. The Fords finish the season with a 7-12 overall record (3-2 Liberty League) and reached as high as No. 27 in the CSA national rankings, providing a strong foundation for a young roster moving forward.
