HAVERFORD, Pa - The Haverford College men's squash team was well represented on the annual Liberty League postseason awards release, the conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon. Qianzhi Zhao earned All-Liberty League First Team honors, while Dean Ibrahim and Aaryaman Jaising were named to the Second Team. Three aditional Haverford players received Honorable Mention recognition: Advait Chandramouli, Jet Li, and Kai Schinaman. Haverford tied St. Lawrence for the most honorees with six total.
Zhao, of Suzhou, China, was an integral part of a standout Haverford campaign as a junior, as he notably cinched the 2026 Conroy Cup (CSA Divisional Team Championship) for the Fords with a 4-0 record, playing a key role in the team's historic victory. Appearing primarily in the middle of the ladder, Zhao went 14-8 on the campaign and was 2-1 at the Liberty League championships.Â
Ibrahim, of Quincy, Mass. compiled a 15-6 record during his rookie 2025-26 season, with one additional win by default. He earned victories across four different flights, showcasing his versatility throughout the lineup. Ibrahim went 7-3 at No. 8, 4-1 at No. 7, 2-2 at No. 6, and 2-1 at No. 9. He added a 2-1 record at the Liberty League Championship, contributing key points in the postseason. Ibrahim capped his year with a straight-game win at No. 8 in the Conroy Cup final, helping Haverford secure a 7-2 victory over Connecticut College and its first title.
Jaising, of Mumbai, India was Haverford's top-flight player this season as a senior and earned nine wins as the Fords captured the Conroy Cup. He excelled in postseason play with a 2-1 mark in the LL Championships and a win at the top flight against Fordham in the match that propelled the Fords to the Conroy Cup championship match.Â
Chandramouli, of Signapore, took home Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors in November and that honor was a sign of things to come for the first-year. He played a pivotal role in Haverford's sweep of two ranked Liberty League opponents at the Vassar Round Robin, securing a pair of critical victories that helped propel the Fords past then-No. 25 St. Lawrence and then- No. 33 Vassar. After a 2-1 mark at the LL championships Chandramouli was a perfect 4-0 at the CSA DivisionaL Team Championships playing five, six, and seven for Haverford.
Li, of Vancouver, B.C. came on to the scene as another crucial rookie for the Fords. He shook off a challenging start to the season, losing his first six matchups before rattling off huge wins over opponents from Wesleyan and Connecticut College in January. After a 2-0 mark at home against Hobart and Vassar, Li settled well into the fifth spot on the ladder, before playing third in an emphatic sweep of Fordham and finishing his season with a dominating sweep at fives in the Conroy Cup title match victory over Connecticut College.
Schinaman, a senior stalwart for the Fords from Tokyo, Japan, was honored after rattling off five consecutive victories to end the season, playing at the second through fourth flights in a massive postseason performance for Haverford. His 4-0 mark for the Fords and steadying presence were integral to the Conroy Cup victory
Denison's Juan Felipe Hernandez was named Player of the Year, Gilberto Aceves Moreno of Rochester was Rookie of the Year, and Rochester's coaching staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors. These accolades reflect Haverford's continued presence among the league's top squash programs and the contributions of its student-athletes on the court this season. After capturing the 2026 Conroy Cup, Haverford finished the 2026 campaign with the first divisional title since a 2017 Chaffee Cup Championship.
