PHILADELPHIA. - A primetime matchup at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center turned into a showcase for No. 30 Haverford College men's squash (8-13) in the College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Championships, as the Fords overwhelmed No. 31 Fordham (15-9), 9-0, to remain unbeaten at 3-0 in Conroy Cup action. With the decisive victory, Haverford positions itself for a shot at the Conroy Cup championship against No. 29 Connecticut College at noon Sunday.

The Fords controlled the ladder from top to bottom, claiming all nine matches in emphatic fashion.

At the top spot, Aaryaman Jaising set the tone with a crisp 11-9, 11-7, 11-3 win over Nicholas Gilman, showcasing poise in tight rallies before pulling away. At No. 2, Kai Schinaman battled through a competitive four-game clash against Jack Stanley, dropping a tight 10-12 opener before responding with 11-9, 11-6, 11-7 wins to secure the 3-1 victory.

The middle of the order continued to flex the Fords' depth. Jet Li was dominant at No. 3, dispatching Adam Sakr 11-2, 11-6, 11-6 in a lightning-fast sweep. Qianzhi Zhao rebounded from a first-game setback to defeat Tyler Christensen 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-5 at No. 4, while Dean Ibrahim also rallied after dropping his opener to top Fredrik Schreiber-Wacnik 4-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-9 at the sixth flight. Nevin Mital powered through four games at No. 7, earning an 11-4, 8-11, 11-6, 11-4 win over Nathan Martinez.

Perhaps the grittiest performance came from Advait Chandramouli at No. 5. After falling behind two games to none against John Andrew Fones (6-11, 9-11), Chandramouli flipped the momentum, storming back with 11-8, 11-6, 11-2 wins to claim the five-game triumph. His comeback highlighted the competitive edge that defined the evening's romp. 

The bottom of the ladder also left no doubt. Francis Betkowski rolled past Charlie Friedman 11-3, 11-4, 11-6 at No. 8, while Arvin Krishnan rebounded from a tight 12-14 first game to defeat Joe Walsh 11-7, 11-6, 11-5 at No. 9.

Wayne Hsu delivered perhaps the most clinical outing of the day in the exhibition, surrendering just five total points in an 11-1, 11-2, 11-2 sweep of Anthony Mamdouh Zareh.

With the Saturday night result in hand, Haverford carries both momentum and confidence into tomorrow's championship showdown, one win away from capturing the Conroy Cup title. Action on the courts at the Specter Center is slated to begin at noon against Connecticut College.
