HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College women's track & field first-year pole vaulter Taniya Denson (Monroeville, Pa. / Gateway) has been named the Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week for February 24 after extending her school record in the event on Friday at the Keogh Invitational inside Alumni Field House.
This is the first weekly honor for Denson, who posted the 10th-best pole vault mark in Centennial Conference history with the primetime leap on Friday. Denson cleared a mark of 3.40 meters to take first place, surpassing her previous program record of 3.20, which was recorded on February 14 at the Ott Center in Philadelphia.
Denson and the rest of the Women's Track & Field squad will next be in action on Saturday as the 2026 Centennial Conference Championships open at Franklin & Marshall College, with action beginning at 10:30 a.m. Women's Pole Vault is slated for a noon start as Denson looks to capture the conference crown.
