HAVERFORD, Pa. – Six members of the Haverford College women's track & field program earned postseason recognition as the Centennial Conference announced its Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Conference selections following the conference championships. Haverford collected first team honors in the 4x800-meter relay, second team recognition in both the 400 meters and the distance medley relay, and a selection to the conference's sportsmanship team.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Carly Priest, Savannah Shaw, Devyn Telleen, and Anastasia Jaycobs earned first team All-Centennial Conference recognition after claiming the conference title with a record-breaking performance. The quartet crossed the line in 9:32.87, surpassing the previous school record of 9:35.24 set in 2006 by Anastasia Mukhina, Brittany Massare, Darian Lunne, and current head coach Annick Lamar. Originally thought to have finished second in the race, the Fords were later elevated to first place following a disqualification, securing the conference championship and 10 team points.
Haverford also earned second team All-Centennial Conference recognition in the distance medley relay, as Shaw, Lorelei Middleton, Olivia D'Aulerio, and Jaycobs combined to place second in 12:23.21, adding eight points to the team score.
Individually, Middleton garnered second team All-Centennial Conference honors in the 400 meters after finishing second with a time of 58.92, contributing eight points to Haverford's total.Â
In addition to her all-conference recognition as part of the championship 4x800 relay, Priest represented Haverford on the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team, which recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate leadership, integrity, and respect for throughout the season.
All major postseason honors from the Centennial Conference were awarded to representatives of the conference champion Johns Hopkins Blue Jays. Adriana Catalano was named Track Athlete of the Year, Erika Ezumba earned Field Athlete of the Year honors, and Ani Wedemeyer was selected as Rookie of the Year. The Johns Hopkins coaching staff was also recognized as Coaching Staff of the Year.
