Women’s Track & Field Earns 15 USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The Haverford College women's track & field team picked up 15 United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region certificates, the organization announced in its indoor regional release on Wednesday afternoon.

To be named to the all-region team the top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.

The Fords placed a strong contingent on the All-Metro Region team, led by Olivia D'Aulerio in the 4x400 relay, distance medley relay (DMR), 400 meters, and 800 meters, and Anastasia Jaycobs in the 4x400 relay, DMR, mile, and 800 meters. Also earning recognition on the women's side were Taniya Denson in the pole vault, Beatrice Di Girolamo in the pentathlon, Lorelei Middleton in the 4x400 relay, DMR, and 400 meters, Devyn Telleen in the 4x400 relay, and Savannah Shaw in the DMR.

The Fords will next transition to outdoor competition, opening the outdoor season on Saturday, March 21, in West Chester, Pa., at the WCU Purple & Gold Invitational, with events set to begin at 10 a.m.
