Women's Lacrosse Posts Highest Team GPA In Nation, Earns IWLCA Merit Squad Award

The Fords topped 179 Division III institutions with an impressive 3.88 cumulative GPA—the highest team GPA across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team has been named the 2025 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Merit Squad, an honor awarded to the top teams in each NCAA division with the highest team GPA for the preceding academic year.

The Fords topped 179 Division III institutions with an impressive 3.88 cumulative GPA, the highest team GPA across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.

This marks the second time Haverford has earned the prestigious Merit Squad designation, having previously received the honor in 2019. In addition to the team recognition, 14 members of the women's lacrosse program were named to the 2024–25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. This distinction is reserved for juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Remarkably, every eligible student-athlete from Haverford earned a place on the honor roll, a testament to the team's unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

The 14 honorees, listed alphabetically, are: Abby Bonner, Alexis Brown, Annie Bravacos, Bella Gattuso, Brooke Epstein, Ellie Hughes, Eva Baumann, Jacquelyn Jardini, Kylie Kearon, Kylie McNamara, Lauren Anderson, Lauren Paprocki, Rachel Marlin, and Tiffany Mikulis.

On the field, Haverford capped a historic 2025 season ranked No. 17 in the final IWLCA Division III poll. The Fords set a program record with 15 wins and earned their first NCAA Tournament victory before falling in a hard-fought 9–8 second-round battle against No. 5 Salisbury. With key returners such as All-American Brooke Epstein and All-Region honoree Finley Jordan, Haverford is well-positioned for another exciting postseason run in 2026.
