Women's Lacrosse Adds Anna Devlin as Assistant Coach

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Katie Wertman is excited to announce the hiring of Anna Devlin as the next Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. Devlin joins the Haverford women's lacrosse program ahead of the 2025–26 academic year, bringing a strong background to the full-time role with the Fords, who are coming off a program single-season record win total and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory in May.

She arrives at Haverford after serving as the Main Tent Director for STEPS Lacrosse in Randolph, New Jersey, from fall 2024 through summer 2025. In that role, she managed operations for large-scale youth lacrosse tournaments, acting as the primary liaison for coaches, parents, officials, and event staff. Her responsibilities included training and supervising volunteers, collaborating with directors and field marshals, and ensuring the seamless execution of tournament activities.

Devlin interned with the Rider University Athletic Department during the spring of 2025. At Rider, she conducted research on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) programs, maintained a transfer portal tracking database, and supported game-day operations across multiple sports. She also assisted with community engagement initiatives and athletic marketing efforts.

Head Coach Katie Wertman expressed her excitement about the addition of Devlin, stating, "From the very beginning of the search process, Anna stood out as someone who would be a great addition to our program. I'm pumped to welcome her on board and excited to see the many ways she will contribute to our success and student-athlete experience."

As a student-athlete, Devlin enjoyed an accomplished collegiate playing career across two programs. She competed at the NCAA Division I level for Rider University in the spring of 2025, where she served as team captain and earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

At The College of New Jersey, Devlin established herself as one of the nation's top Division III players. She was named to the IWLCA Third Team All-America in 2023 and was a two-time IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region selection, including First Team honors in 2023 and Second Team recognition in 2021. That same year, she earned a place on the All-NJAC First Team after receiving Honorable Mention as a rookie in 2021.

Devlin consistently ranked among the NJAC's most dynamic offensive players, earning NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors three times (2022–23) and Rookie of the Week twice during her debut season. Off the field, she was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and 2023 and was a three-time member of the NJAC All-Academic Team.

Devlin earned a Master of Arts in Athletic Leadership with a concentration in Athletics Leadership from Rider University in 2025 and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at The College of New Jersey in 2023. A native of Marmora, New Jersey, she will officially begin her duties at Haverford on September 2.
