HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse program has been named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad for the 2025-26 academic year, while 14 student-athletes earned spots on the 2026 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.
Haverford was one of 357 programs across NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA to receive Academic Honor Squad recognition. To qualify, a women's lacrosse program must post a team GPA of 3.20 or higher during the academic year.
The IWLCA also recognized 1,350 Division III student-athletes representing 174 institutions on its Academic Honor Roll. Eligible student-athletes must be juniors, seniors or graduate students and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Haverford's 14 Academic Honor Roll selections included Lauren Anderson, Alexis Brown, Louisa Coughlin, Brooke Epstein, Bella Gattuso, Cameron Hamilton, Sophie Jaffe, Finley Jordan, Kylie Kearon, Daniela Martini, Kylie McNamara, Kalli Mullen, Lauren Paprocki and Lilly Provost.
The academic recognition follows a landmark season for the Fords under Head Coach Katie Wertman and Assistant Coaches Anna Devlin, Shannon Horn '14 and Roma Hladky '22. Haverford finished with a 14-7 overall record, earned the top seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament for the first time in program history and captured its first-ever Centennial Conference regular-season championship as the coaching staff was named both Centennial Conference and Metro Regional Coaching Staff of the year.
The Fords also defeated Franklin & Marshall, 13-8, for their first victory over the Diplomats in 26 years. Haverford advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship for the second consecutive season, marking the program's third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and fourth national tournament berth in the last five seasons.
The Fords now await the release of the IWLCA Academic Merit Squads later this month. That designation is awarded to the top team in each division with the highest team GPA for the 2025-26 season. Haverford won the award for the second time in program history last season.
