Genth Named Perfect Game's Division III Co-Player of the Year

Full Perfect Game Awards Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College senior second baseman Harry Genth has been named the Perfect Game Division III College Co-Player of the Year, the organization announced in a release Friday morning. Genth shares the honor with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps standout Andrew Mazzone, also a former Centennial Conference player at Dickinson before graduate school at CMS.

Genth posted a remarkable .428 batting average with 15 doubles, two triples, and 23 home runs across 145 at-bats, resulting in a 1.034 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage. He also tallied 31 stolen bases and was named Centennial Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. His 1.034 slugging percentage led all NCAA Division III players, while his 0.59 home runs per game also ranked first nationally. Genth guided the Fords to their most wins since 2016, culminating in a run to the Centennial Conference final.

This award caps off a week full of accolades for Genth, who was also named Region 5 Player of the Year by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), in addition to earning first-team All-America honors from both organizations.

Including his Centennial Conference Player of the Year nod, this marks the fourth Player of the Year honor for the Baltimore native. Genth will now pursue professional baseball, beginning his journey with the Trenton Thunder of the MLB Draft League, with action set to begin next week.
