Harry Genth '25 Signs Contract With Minnesota Twins

The Baltimore native set Haverford single-season records for runs scored (69), home runs (23), and RBIs (77), while also surpassing the Centennial Conference's single-season RBI mark.

HAVERFORD, Pa. — Haverford College's Harry Genth has signed with the Minnesota Twins as an undrafted free agent following a historic senior season in which he led all of NCAA Division III in several major offensive categories.

Haverford has had seven players reach the affiliated minor leagues, most recently Stephen Ridings '17. Two Fords have made it to the majors: Ridings, who debuted with the New York Yankees in 2021 and became the first player in Centennial Conference history to pitch in a major league game, and Bill Lindsay '09, who played in 19 games for the Cleveland Naps (the precursor to the Cleveland Guardians) in 1911.

"In the past few years, Harry has proven he's one of the very best college players in the country," said Head Coach Dave Beccaria. "He's a dynamic offensive force and a great teammate and leader who helps bring out the best in everyone around him. He's worked incredibly hard to earn a chance to play professional baseball, and we're thrilled for him and his opportunity with the Twins."

In a record-shattering 2025 season, Genth was the NCAA Division III statistical champion in slugging percentage (1.034), home runs per game (0.59), RBIs per game, and total home runs (23). He batted .428 across 145 at-bats with 15 doubles, two triples, and a .556 on-base percentage. He also stole 31 bases and was named Centennial Conference Player of the Year for the second straight season.

The Baltimore native set Haverford single-season records for runs scored (69), home runs (23), and RBIs (77), while also surpassing the Centennial Conference's single-season RBI mark. He now holds Haverford career records in home runs (42), runs (193), RBIs (157), and slugging percentage (.699), and is tied for the program's all-time lead in doubles (42).

Genth's offensive dominance helped power Haverford to its highest win total since 2016, as the Fords finished as Centennial Conference runners-up. He was named Region 5 Player of the Year by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), earning First-Team All-America honors from both organizations.

While known for his power in 2025, Genth also led all of Division III in stolen bases per game in 2024, averaging 1.25 per contest. He totaled 40 steals that season, including four in three separate games—March 3 vs. NYU, April 16 at Muhlenberg, and April 26 at Swarthmore. He broke Haverford's single-season stolen base record, surpassing the previous mark of 34 set by Louis DeRosa in 2011.

After graduating with a degree in computer science, Genth joined the Trenton Thunder of the MLB Draft League, continuing to compete against top draft-eligible talent in June and July. He posted a .250/.425/.350 slash line over 24 games, recording 15 hits in 60 at-bats, including three doubles, a home run, 11 RBIs, and 15 walks. Defensively, he made 15 appearances at second base, seven at third, two at shortstop, and one in left field, demonstrating his versatility for professional organizations.
