HAVERFORD, Pa. — The Haverford College women's soccer team had two players earn All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention recognition for the 2025 season, as senior defenders Lauren Anderson and Abigale Baker were honored by the conference office on Thursday morning.
A three-time All-Conference selection, Anderson adds another accolade to her standout career, which already includes a 2022 All-Centennial Conference Second Team nod and a 2023 Honorable Mention selection. Anderson, a two-sport standout, who also is a starter for the women's lacrosse team, anchored a resilient Haverford back line that allowed just 16 goals across 18 games, finishing with a 0.89 goals-against average that ranked fourth-best in the Centennial Conference. The Bala Cynwyd, Pa. native started every match for the Fords, contributing three shots on the season from her defensive post, with one landing on goal.
Baker earned All-Centennial Conference honors for the first time in her career after an impressive senior campaign. The Harvard, Mass. product fortified a defensive unit that limited opponents to just 0.89 goals per game. Despite her defensive role, Baker tied for the team lead in both goals (3) and points (6), while ranking second with 23 total shots and 13 shots on goal. She delivered one of the team's key moments of the season with her game-winning tally against Penn State Berks on September 10.
In addition to the All-Conference selections, senior Madeline Dosen was named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. The Annandale, Va. native appeared in eight contests, firing seven shots and placing four on goal, including a pair of on-target efforts against Penn State Berks.
Swarthmore's Ava Gizzie was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year, while Dickinson's Lila Brown earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dickinson's Joelle Ma claimed Rookie of the Year, and the Swarthmore coaching staff was recognized as Coaching Staff of the Year.
The 2025 campaign featured several new contributors for the Fords, who finished with a 6–8–4 overall record. Bolstered by a disciplined defense and returning four of their top five scorers, the Scarlet and Black will look to build on this season's foundation and make a return to the Centennial Conference Tournament in 2026.
