HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's cross country team tied for third place at the Haverford Invitational on the Fran Rizzo Cross Country Course on Friday afternoon, marking the second and final home meet of the 2025 season. The Fords totaled 90 points, matching Division II Jefferson for third while finishing ahead of Centennial Conference rival Ursinus, as well as Division I St. Peter's and Penn State Brandywine.
Villanova secured the team title with a perfect score of 15 points, while Lehigh placed second with 42 points. Haverford and Jefferson followed closely behind in a tie for third.
Senior Audrey Carter capped off her final home meet in strong fashion, pacing the Fords with an 18th-place finish in 21:06.6. Close behind was sophomore Bianca Ortiz, who took 20th with a time of 21:11.4, while senior Sophia Furman finished 22nd in 21:18.6 to round out a consistent top three for the Scarlet and Black.
Junior Claire Parsons placed 26th with a time of 22:54.6, followed by Judy Xie in 29th at 23:39.8 and first-year Adriana Rogow in 32nd at 24:04.3, as the Scarlet and Black closed out a strong showing on their home course.
The Fords will now shift their focus to the postseason, preparing for the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1. This year's championship meet will be taking place on the campus of Gettysburg College, with the Bullets set to host.
