HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College senior Savannah Shaw (Downingtown, Pa.)Â has been named to the Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) Academic All-Area Team, capping a standout season of excellence on the course and in the classroom for the Haverford women's cross country team.Â
To be eligible for Academic All-Area honors, a student-athlete must be in at least their second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher. The team is selected by the sports information offices of 30 colleges and universities in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Shaw notably earned USTFCCCA All-Metro Region honors this fall after leading the Fords at the Metro Region Championships, placing 21st with a personal-best 6K time of 22:44.3. at the Rowan-hosted meet in Logan Township, N.J.Â
A consistent academic standout, she is a three-time member of the Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll and was also selected to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team this season.
