HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College men's lacrosse junior long-stick midfielder Ronan West was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-America Team, the organization announced in a release on Wednesday.
West's selection marks the 24th time in program history that a men's lacrosse player has earned USILA postseason All-America honors and the first such honoree since Ben Frost in 2019. In total, 22 of those selections have come since the start of the 2007 season.
A steady presence on both ends of the field, West appeared in and started all 15 games for the Scarlet and Black, anchoring the defensive midfield while contributing in transition. He tied for fourth in the Centennial Conference with 24 caused turnovers and ranked sixth in the league with 64 ground balls. West also led Haverford midfielders in caused turnovers (24), while his ground-ball total ranked among the top three on the team.
Offensively, he added eight points on three goals and five assists, including a three-point outing (one goal, two assists) in a season-opening win over Neumann (2/13) and a two-assist performance in a non-conference victory over Susquehanna (3/7). The Mamaroneck, N.Y., native also delivered multiple high-impact defensive performances, including seven-ground-ball efforts against Catholic (2/21) and McDaniel (3/21), while forcing a season-high four turnovers against Neumann (2/13) and Stockton (2/28).
Men's lacrosse finished the 2026 season with a 9-7 record, matching its win total from the previous year and continuing its upward trajectory under Head Coach Richard Carrington. The Fords were competitive throughout a challenging Centennial Conference slate, including several closely contested matchups and two one-goal losses to nationally ranked opponents, before closing the season with a landmark 12-11 road win over Swarthmore, the program's first victory over the Garnet since 2018.
