GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The Haverford College women's track & field team continued competition at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Musselman Stadium, moving up to seventh in the team standings with 25 points after a strong second day highlighted by a silver medal in the 4x800 relay and multiple qualifiers advancing to Sunday's finals.
On the track, the Fords' 4x800-meter relay squad of Carly Priest, Devyn Telleen, Olivia D'Aulerio, and Anastasia Jaycobs delivered a silver medal performance, finishing second in 9:29.07 to earn eight team points. The mark ranks seventh in program history.
In the 400-meter prelims, Olivia D'Aulerio placed fourth overall in 58.57, qualifying for Sunday's final, while Devyn Telleen finished eighth in 59.74 to also advance.
In the 400-meter hurdles prelims, Alice Sappenfield placed fifth in 1:09.03 (personal best) to qualify for the final. Madison Lewis followed in seventh in 1:09.45 (personal best), also advancing, while Brianna Feifer finished ninth in 1:10.69 (personal best).
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Savannah Shaw placed fourth in 11:21.49 (personal best), scoring five points. The time ranks eighth in Haverford history. Alice Sappenfield added a point with an eighth-place finish in 11:41.56, while Poppy Chrisman placed 16th in 12:57.67 and Madeline Ruchelman finished 21st in 13:47.45.
In the 100-meter prelims, Nadine Tang placed 12th in 12.99, Taylor Allert finished 19th in 13.81, and Abigail Miyake placed 25th in 14.71, while in the 200-meter prelims Tang returned to finish 19th in 28.12. In the 800-meter prelims, Priest placed 12th in 2:21.87, while Maia Poremba finished 14th in 2:26.23.
In the field events, Beatrice Di Girolamo placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.06 meters (16 feet, 7.25 inches), scoring five points. Taylor Allert finished 16th in the long jump with a mark of 4.50 meters (14 feet, 9.25 inches).
In the discus, Sarah Wilcher placed fifth with a throw of 39.03 meters (128 feet, 0 inches), earning four points.
In the heptathlon, Adriana Rogow placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 4.04 meters (13 feet, 3.25 inches) and eighth in the javelin with a throw of 11.72 meters (38 feet, 5 inches). She closed the day with a sixth-place finish in the 800 meters in 2:37.11, wrapping up the heptathlon in seventh place with 2626 points.
Haverford returns to Musselman Stadium on Sunday, May 3, for the final day of competition with multiple athletes set for championship finals, with events beginning at 11:00 a.m.
