NEW ORLEANS - The Haverford College women's track & field team earned a total of 12 United States Track & Field (USTFCCCA) All-Metro Region Certificates for the outdoor season, the organization announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon.Â
All-Region designation is awarded to the top eight performers in each men's and women's track & field event and the members of the top eight relay teams in each NCAA Division III region from the season-ending descending order list of performances.
The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country and indoor track & field seasons. Programs must be members of a Division III Program Membership Division who are in good standing with the USTFCCCA in order for their student-athletes to be eligible for this award.
Haverford was well represented across sprints, middle distance, and field events. Olivia D'Aulerio earned honors in both the 400 and 800 meters, while Anastasia Jaycobs was recognized in the 800 and 1,500 meters. In the distance events, Savannah Shaw and Alice Sappenfield both earned steeplechase honors.Â
The 4x400 relay squad of
Carly Priest,
Devyn Telleen, Jaycobs, and D'Aulerio also received recognition, alongside field event honors for
Taniya Denson in the pole vault and
Sarah Wilcher in the discus.
