NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Haverford College senior attack Brooke Epstein (Hillsborough, N.C. / Durham Academy) has been named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III National Offensive Player of the Week, as announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon.
Epstein delivered a dominant performance to lead the Fords to a statement 13-8 upset victory over No. 19 Franklin & Marshall, marking Haverford's first win over the Diplomats in 26 years. The senior paced the offense with four goals and one assist while putting all nine of her shots on target in a highly efficient outing. In addition to her scoring output, Epstein contributed across the field with three draw controls, one caused turnover, and one ground ball, showcasing her all-around impact in the milestone victory.
With her performance, Epstein moved into third place in program history with 190 career goals and 256 total points, continuing to cement her legacy among Haverford's all-time leaderboard.Â
The No. 23 Fords are now 3-0 in Centennial Conference play, and face another key test in the CC on Saturday, traveling to No. 11 Gettysburg for a 1 p.m. contest.
