HAVERFORD, Pa. — The Haverford College women's track & field team delivered a strong all-around performance while hosting the Haverford Tri-Meet at the Johnson Track & Field Complex, highlighted by multiple event victories, podium finishes, and various personal bests.
In the sprints, Olivia D'Aulerio led the way with a win in the 200 meters in 26.22 after placing second in the 100 meters in 12.91. Nadine Tang finished third in the 100 meters in 13.14, followed by Taylor Allert in seventh in 13.90, Abigail Miyake in tenth in 14.87, and Katie Strutton in eleventh in 15.09. The 200 meters also featured Anna Berry with a third-place finish in 27.05, Allert in eighth in 28.70, Sophia Furman in thirteenth in 30.22, Miyake in fourteenth in 30.35, and Strutton in sixteenth in 30.55.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Adriana Rogow placed fifth in 19.99.
In the 400 meters, Anastasia Jaycobs won the event with a new personal best time of 1:01.02, followed by Carly Priest in second in 1:02.46, also recording a new personal best, Tess Greaton in fourth in 1:04.53, and Furman in fifth in a new personal best time of 1:05.51.
In the 800 meters, Savannah Shaw earned the first-place win in 2:19.93, a new personal best. Devyn Telleen took second in 2:20.18, and Maia Poremba finished third in 2:26.16.
The 1500 meters saw a deep Haverford group led by Betty Baraki in second with a new personal best time of 5:21.66, followed by Bianca Ortiz in third in 5:24.61, also recording a personal best. Keiko Chinen placed fourth in a new personal best time of 5:26.64, while Madeline Ruchelman earned fifth in 5:32.97, also a personal best. Claire Parsons finished sixth in a new personal best time of 5:34.39, Judy Xie took seventh with a new personal best time of 5:47.12, and Natalie Kruglyak rounded out the group in eighth in 5:49.97.
In the field, Sarah Wilcher placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.31 meters (132 feet, 3 inches).
Aside from the hurdles, Rogow also contributed across multiple events, finishing third in the high jump at 1.33 meters (4 feet, 4.25 inches), ninth in the javelin at 11.40 meters (37 feet, 5 inches), and ninth in the long jump at 4.20 meters (13 feet, 9.50 inches).
Also competing in multiple events was Allert, who placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 4.74 meters (15 feet, 6.75 inches), a new personal best.
Wrapping up the meet, Taniya Denson added a victory in the pole vault, clearing 3.45 meters (11 feet, 3.75 inches) to round out a strong day for the Scarlet and Black.
The Fords will next be in action at historic Franklin Field at the esteemed Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa., on Friday, April 24, at 7:50 p.m., competing in the 4x400 relay.
