WEST CHESTER, Pa. — The Haverford College women's track and field team opened its outdoor season on Saturday at the Purple & Gold Opener, hosted by West Chester University, with a select group of competitors turning in solid early-season performances at Tomlinson-Fillippo Field at Farrell Stadium. In the 100 meters, junior Nadine Tang paced Haverford with an eighth-place finish, crossing in 13.12 seconds into a slight headwind. Classmate Abigail Miyake followed with a time of 14.56. 

Senior Olivia D'Aulerio delivered one of the top performances of the day for the squad, placing sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.09 to earn three team points for the Fords. 

In the field events, sophomore Beatrice Di Girolamo led the way in the long jump, finishing seventh overall with a mark of 4.66 meters (15-3.50) to add two points to the Haverford ledger.  First-year Adriana Rogow also competed in the event, recording a jump of 4.05 meters (13-3.50).

Women's Track & Field will next be in action with a larger contingent taking to the track on Friday, March 27, as the two-day Danny Curran Invitational opens at Widener University with events beginning at 5 p.m.
