Broaddus Named CC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

HAVERFORD, Pa. – After leading Haverford Men's Lacrosse to a 2-0 week, sophomore goalkeeper Mac Broaddus (Larchmont, N.Y. / Hackley School) has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release Tuesday. Broaddus anchored the defensive effort with 26 total saves, posting a .703 save percentage and a 5.50 goals-against average across the two victories.

In Wednesday's 13-9 win over Arcadia, Broaddus recorded seven saves while adding a caused turnover and a ground ball. He followed with a career performance on Saturday, turning aside a career-high 19 shots and collecting four ground balls in an 11-2 victory over Catholic. Broaddus currently ranks eighth in Division III with a 5.20 goals-against average and ninth nationally with a .690 save percentage. As a unit, Haverford's defense ranks sixth in the nation, allowing just 4.33 goals per contest.

Men's Lacrosse returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Penn College at Swan Field (7 p.m.) before traveling to Stockton on Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.) to complete another busy week of action.
