HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's tennis team celebrated 120 years of the historic program on Saturday, September 6 welcoming back 30 alumni for a day of camaraderie and friendly competition to open up the 2025 season. 

In its 120th year, Haverford Men's Tennis celebrated a remarkable gathering spanning six decades of alumni, from 1965 to 2025, and representing six different head coaches, including a few interim leaders. Notably, Coach Sean Sloane and Coach Ken Norris attended as alumni coaches, adding to the sense of tradition and continuity. 

The varsity roster continued their dominance in the annual alumni match, claiming the David Kong '20 Memorial Trophy for the third consecutive season with a commanding 28-4 victory, improving their overall record in the friendly to 14-10. 

Alumni highlights included the dynamic doubles pairing of Kevin Yan and Josh Moskovitz, as well as the formidable duo of Adam Chow and Patrick Kley, while singles victories were secured by Justin Minerva and Moskovitz, ensuring that the day showcased both the strength of the current team and the enduring talent of Haverford's alumni base. 

The returning alumni included Sloane and Norris along with Bob Swift '68, Paul Hoffstein '79, John Schloss '84, Andrew Bickford '92, Gabriel Dichter '93, Tago Gilfond '93, Shehzaad Zaman '03, Carl Lederman '05, David Merrell '09, Ankur Arya '12, Josh Lederman '15, Eli Phelps '16, Matt Buczek '17, Ishaan Prinz '18, Josh Moskovitz '19, Nick Sweeney '19, Jeff Himelstein '20, Kevin Yan '20, Adam Branovan '20, Rob Kresch '20, Jun Mo '21, Pranav Krishnan '22, Jackson Trevor '22, Patrick Kley '22, Kirin Eicher '24, Adam Chow '24, Max Beckwith '25, Andreas Wingert '25, Danny Loder '25, and Justin Minerva '25.

Haverford now returns to action on Friday, September 26 right back at the Bramall/Marshall Courts as Haverford welcomes the Continentals of Hamilton in for a 3 p.m. first serve to officially kick off the fall season with the Haverford Invitational.
