HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford junior captain Joelle Phuah (Selangor, Malaysia) earned a spot on the Liberty League Honor Roll after a standout showing at the Vassar Round Robin, highlighted by a five-game comeback victory that helped propel Haverford to an 8-1 win over host No. 31 Vassar.
Competing at the top position, Phuah delivered one of the weekend's most impressive performances, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Charlotte Tobin 10-12, 6-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-4. Her composure under pressure anchored the Fords' response following a challenging opener against No. 22 St. Lawrence.
Phuah's victory set the tone for Haverford's most complete team outing of the season and played a key role in securing the weekend split ahead of the winter break.
The Fords have now wrapped up action for the 2025 portion of the slate, and will now return to action in the spring semester, heading to the Wesleyan / Connecticut College Round Robin for action in the Nutmeg State beginning January 16, 2026.
