HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College volleyball sophomore outside hitter Elizabeth Cella was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Cella delivered another dominant performance Saturday, hitting .483 across a pair of straight-set victories over Cairn and Lebanon Valley at Gooding '84 Arena. The Atlanta, Georgia, native totaled 34 kills over six sets, averaging 5.67 kills per set while hitting better than .450 in both matches.

The reigning conference Offensive Player of the Week opened the tri-match with 18 kills on a .455 hitting percentage in Haverford's sweep of Cairn. Cella then registered 16 kills on a season-best .519 hitting percentage while adding a service ace as the Fords completed the afternoon with a 3-0 victory over Lebanon Valley.

Cella ranks fourth in NCAA Division III with 4.86 kills per set while leading the Centennial Conference in kills per set, total kills, points and points per set.

According to available program records, Cella is the first Haverford volleyball player to earn Centennial Conference weekly honors in consecutive weeks. Haverford previously produced back-to-back weekly honorees in 2014, when Meg O'Day received the award Sept. 29 and Nina Mutty followed Oct. 6.

Haverford (5-1) returns to action Friday, September 18, hosting Eastern at Gooding '84 Arena. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
