HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College volleyball team has been picked to finish fourth in the Centennial Conference in 2026, according to the conference's preseason poll.

Haverford looks to return to the Centennial Conference Tournament in 2026 after concluding the 2025 season with a 19-9 record, marking the program's most wins since the 2021 team finished 24-6. The Fords posted a 7-3 Centennial Conference record and hosted the first round of the conference tournament for the first time since 2019. Haverford advanced to the conference semifinals for the first time since 2021.

Johns Hopkins earned the top spot in the preseason poll with 97 points and seven first-place votes. Franklin & Marshall followed in second with 90 points and three first-place votes, while Swarthmore received the remaining first-place vote and totaled 77 points to place third. Haverford was selected fourth with 73 points, followed by Gettysburg (70 points), Dickinson (57), Washington College (45), Muhlenberg (34), Ursinus (31), McDaniel (21), and Bryn Mawr (10).

Sophomore Elizabeth Cella returns to lead the Fords after an outstanding rookie campaign that culminated in AVCA Division III All-America Honorable Mention recognition, making her Haverford's first All-American since 2022. Cella was also named the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, earned AVCA First-team All-Region 5 and First-team All-Centennial Conference honors, and was selected to the All-Tournament Teams at both the Haverford Invitational and Fords Invite.

Cella led Haverford and finished third in the Centennial Conference with 361 kills during her rookie season. She also finished third on the team with 264 digs to go along with 29 service aces and 42 total blocks, posting 10 double-doubles as well.

Haverford opens the 2026 campaign on Tuesday, September 1, traveling to Widener for a 7 p.m. match.
