ALLENTOWN & CARLISLE, Pa. - The Haverford College women's tennis team (8-6, 5-1 CC) earned not one, but two Centennial Conferences victories on Friday afternoon, after defeating Muhlenberg (8-5, 0-4 CC) by a score of 4-3 and Dickinson (11-5, 4-1 CC) by a score of 5-2.

Haverford 4, Muhlenberg 3

Haverford opened things at first doubles, where Sophie Capone and Mallika Reddy dominated Charley Madlock and Caitlin Bestrycki, 6-0. Muhlenberg secured the doubles point at second doubles with Sydney Madlock and Kety Gaidamashvili defeating Erika Phanord and Sriya Krishnan, 6-2, giving Muhlenberg a 1-0 lead heading into singles as the third flight went to the hosts by default.

With the sixth singles flight defaulted to the hosts, Muhlenberg added again at fifth singles, where Paige Copenhaver fell 6-0, 6-0 to Alexandra Roehl, making it 3-0 in favor of the hosts.

Haverford began its comeback at second singles as Capone rolled past Caitlin Bestrycki, 6-1, 6-0, cutting the deficit to 3-1. At first singles, Reddy followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Sydney Madlock, trimming the margin further to 3-2.

The Fords then pulled level at third singles, where Phanord defeated Kety Gaidamashvili, 6-2, 6-2, tying the match at 3-3. Haverford clinched the overall victory at fourth singles, where Krishnan earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Charley Madlock, completing the comeback and securing the 4-3 team win.

Haverford 5, Dickinson 2

Dickinson struck first in the dual with a point at third doubles, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead. Haverford quickly answered at first doubles, where Jolie Zink and Aarti Prochnow controlled play in a 6-2 win over Jenna Crain and Merve Uyumazturk to level the match at 1-1. The Fords then secured the doubles point at second doubles as Abhi Menon and Adelaide Kreutel delivered a 6-1 victory over Alisa Steele and Natasha Sharnoff, sending Haverford into singles with a 1-0 advantage.

Dickinson evened the match early in singles, but Haverford immediately responded to take control. Prochnow put the Fords back in front at second singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Steele, followed by Kreutel's comeback effort at third singles, where she defeated Sharnoff 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to stretch the lead to 3-1.

Zink then delivered another key point at first singles, battling past Crain 6-7 (7-3 tiebreaker), 6-1, 6-2 to push Haverford ahead 4-1 with the clinching fourth point.
