Men's Basketball Places Four Academic Standouts on CSC All-District Squads

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College men's basketball placed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as Alex George, Adam Strong-Jacobson, Seth Anderson, and Carter Warren were each recognized in a release earlier this week.

To earn Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be at least a sophomore academically, and serve as key contributors by either appearing in 90 percent of their team's games or starting in at least 66 percent.

George, a sophomore from Monmouth Beach, N.J., started 21 of 25 games and averaged 3.3 points and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 53.2 percent from the field. He scored a season-high 10 points against Valley Forge and dished out five assists versus Immaculata.

Strong-Jacobson, from Chevy Chase, Md. led the Fords with 12.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 55.8 percent from the field. His rebounding and 1.6 blocks per game both ranked second in the Centennial Conference. He paced the team in points (301), rebounds (202), and blocks (39), recording eight double-doubles, including a 25-point, 13-rebound effort against Muhlenberg.

Anderso, of Cumberland, R.I. ppeared in all 25 games, averaging 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per contest. He added 33 assists, nine steals, and seven blocks, with a season-high nine points at Penn State Berks.

Warren, of Manhattan Beach, Calif. played in all 25 games with 14 starts, averaging 5.9 points and a team-best 2.4 assists per game. He led the team with 59 assists and 31 made three-pointers. He scored a season-high 18 points against Washington College and added 17 points, including five three-pointers, versus Immaculata.

The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced in April.
