Midway through the period, Emmanuel Cheung Hernandez provided a spark on both ends of the floor, scoring four straight points off steals to make it 56–33. The Fords continued to chip away, as an Adam Strong-Jacobson dunk in transition and a Raja Coleman jumper pulled Haverford within 61–39 with 13:35 remaining.
Each Scarlet and Black push was met with a response from Johns Hopkins. Josh Ho and Lawson Holland connected from deep late in the contest, while Eglinton Manner added seven second-half points and Teagan Swint chipped in six to help the Blue Jays maintain control.
