BALTIMORE — The 18th-ranked Haverford College women's lacrosse team was well represented on the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division III preseason All-America teams, the publication announced Tuesday. Haverford senior Brooke Epstein (Hillsborough, N.C./Durham Academy) and junior Finley Jordan (Tampa, Fla./Berkeley Prep) were each named honorable mention selections.
Epstein, a USA Lacrosse postseason honorable mention honoree a season ago, delivered a standout junior campaign, leading both the team and the conference in goals (66) while pacing the Fords in points (89), draw controls (88) and free-position goals (14). She set a new single-season draw control record for Haverford with 98, ranking third in the conference, and broke the program's single-game draw control record with 13 against Bates.
The junior attacker reached significant career milestones, surpassing 200 points, 100 goals and 100 draw controls. She posted 16 games with three or more goals, including a season-high six against Muhlenberg. Epstein also recorded eight points in two contests, combining four goals and four assists against Bates and tallying six goals with two assists versus Muhlenberg. Her dynamic scoring ability placed her among Division III's top offensive threats, ranking in the top 100 nationally in both goals and points.
Jordan emerged as a key defensive presence during her sophomore season, earning IWLCA All-Region and All-Centennial Conference second-team honors. The defender led the Fords with 47 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers. She ranked fifth in the Centennial Conference in ground balls per game (2.19) and caused turnovers per game (1.43), highlighting her impact as a defensive disruptor. She matched a program record with six caused turnovers in the NCAA Tournament victory over Saint Mary's on May 10.
Jordan showcased her consistency with nine games of three or more ground balls, including a season-high five against No. 7 Salisbury in the NCAA Tournament, along with nine games of two or more caused turnovers. She also recorded her first career goal in a win over McDaniel, adding an offensive element to her well-rounded game.
Franklin & Marshall and Salisbury led the way with five All-Americans apiece, while preseason No. 1 Middlebury boasts two selections. Preseason All-Americans are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from collegiate coaches.
The Fords will compete in 17 games during the 2026 campaign, including seven home contests at Swan Field. Haverford opens the season at home against Widener on Feb. 25 before a three-game road stretch at Scranton, Marywood and Lebanon Valley.
