Full NFCA Release
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Haverford College first-year utility player Kamaha'o Bode (Blue Bell, Pa. / Springside Chestnut Hill) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region V third team, the organization announced in a release on Friday afternoon.
In her standout rookie campaign, Bode quickly established herself as one of the most dangerous hitters in the Centennial Conference. She finished the regular season leading the CC in slugging percentage (.676) and led the league in home runs with eight, showcasing remarkable power and poise at the plate. Her ability to drive in runs was equally impressive, finishing the regular season ranked fifth in the conference with 31 RBI.
Bode hit .343 on the season across 102 at-bats, with 35 hits, including six doubles and two triples, and maintained a balanced approach with 14 walks and only 21 strikeouts. She proved to be a consistent offensive threat in the heart of the lineup, posting multiple multi-hit and multi-RBI games. Bode was especially effective in non-conference matchups, including a 3-for-4, 3-RBI performance against Rosemont and a two-homer game against Immaculata.
Defensively, Bode played games at catcher, right field, designated player, and even first base, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the team. Behind the plate, she recorded 90 putouts and 16 assists, playing a key role in managing the pitching staff and limiting opposing baserunners. Her strong arm and field presence were vital assets across multiple positions.
The awards honor student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region. If they were not already voted to an All-Region squad, conference Players and Pitchers of the Year from member institutions are added to the third team in their region, so long as they are nominated by their member head coach and receive votes.
All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 28 online and on-site at the NCAA Division III Finals site banquet in Bloomington, Ill.
