Women's Indoor Track & Field Slotted Sixth in CC Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team has been selected to finish sixth in the Centennial Conference, according to the conference office's annual preseason poll released Wednesday morning.

Coming off their 14th consecutive Centennial Conference title, Johns Hopkins was voted first with nine first-place votes and 81 total points. Dickinson collected the remaining first-place vote and was predicted to finish second with 72 points. Swarthmore followed in third with 63 points, while Ursinus (50 points) and Gettysburg (47 points) rounded out the top five. Haverford secured the sixth spot with 43 points, edging Franklin & Marshall (42 points) and Muhlenberg (26 points), which were selected seventh and eighth, respectively. Bryn Mawr (14 points) and McDaniel (12 points) completed the 2025–26 preseason rankings in ninth and tenth.

After tying for seventh at last season's Centennial Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Fords are eager to build upon several strong returning performances. This year's squad welcomes back two All-Centennial Conference honorees: Anastasia Jaycobs and Sarah Wilcher.

Jaycobs, who ranks 10th all-time in program history in the 800 meters, captured the gold medal in the event at last year's conference championships, earning First Team All-Centennial Conference honors and establishing herself as one of the top middle-distance threats in the conference.

Wilcher, returning for her final season, earned a silver medal in the weight throw at last year's championships with a record-breaking performance. Now the program's record holder in the event, the Second Team All-Centennial Conference standout looks to build on her impressive mark and continue to improve on her record this winter.

The Fords will open their 2025–26 campaign on Saturday, December 6, at the Bow Tie Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center in Collegeville, Pa. Competition is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
