COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team opened the 2025–26 season on Saturday morning at the Ursinus Bow Tie Invitational, competing in 10 events inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Center. The Fords turned in an impressive season debut, highlighted by three first-place finishes.
In a Haverford-heavy 200 meters, Olivia D'Aulerio started her senior campaign in winning fashion, placing first with a time of 26.16. First-year Lorelei Middleton impressed in her collegiate debut with a fourth-place finish in 27.75, while Adrian Cruz-Soto secured third in 27.98, setting a new personal best. Grace Hannigan placed 11th in 29.18, followed by Zofi Sanders in 13th at 29.50. Fellow first-year Madison Lewis finished 16th in 30.30, just ahead of Abigail Miyake, who took 17th in 30.92. Katie Strutton placed 21st in 31.74, and first-year Adriana Rogow took 24th in 32.47.
D'Aulerio then doubled back in the 400 meters to claim her second victory of the day, clocking a winning time of 59.00. The time currently sits as the 14th-fastest in Division III at this early benchmark. Middleton finished just behind her teammate in second place with a time of 59.39, the fourth best mark in Haverford program history. Emery Casucci added a third-place finish in 1:06.94, while Strutton placed sixth in 1:11.71.
In the 800 meters, Carly Priest opened her senior season with a strong performance, taking first place in 2:28.61.
The Fords placed two athletes in the top 12 in the 60-meter prelims, with Lewis finishing 11th in 9.25 and Miyake close behind in 12th with a time of 9.40.
The mile featured a quartet of Fords, led by Bianca Ortiz, who placed second in 5:57.62. Sophia Furman finished third in 6:00.58, followed by Judy Xie in seventh (6:34.63). Natalie Kruglyak picked up eighth place in 6:36.61, setting a new personal best.
In the 5000 meters, Claire Parsons placed 10th with a time of 22:07.62.
Cruz-Soto led a group of four Fords in the long jump, marking 4.62 meters (15 feet, 7.50 inches) to finish sixth. She was followed by Beatrice Di Girolamo, who jumped 4.52 meters (14 feet, 10 inches). Sanders placed eighth with a mark of 4.38 meters (14 feet, 4.50 inches), and Rogow took ninth at 4.27 meters (14 feet, 0.25 inches).
Hannigan was Haverford's lone competitor in the triple jump, where she placed second with a leap of 10.60 meters (34 feet, 9.50 inches).
To wrap up the day, the first-year Taniya Denson recorded Haverford's sixth-best result all-time in the pole vault, soaring to a distance of 2.95 meters (9 feet, 8 inches).
The Bow Tie Invitational marks the lone meet of the 2025 portion of the schedule. The Fords will now take a brief holiday break before returning to competition on Friday, January 16, at the Ramapo Invitational, held at The Armory in New York, N.Y. Events are set to begin at 9 a.m.
