HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's cross country team collected multiple postseason honors following a strong showing at the 2025 Centennial Conference Championships in Gettysburg last weekend.
First-year Simon Lane and senior Micah Lachman each earned spots on the All-Centennial Conference First Team, while the Fords' coaching staff, led by second-year head coach Matt Cohen '12, was voted Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year. Cohen and assistants Tom Donnelly, Chris O'Sullivan, and Matt Katz '22 guided Haverford to a runner-up team finish.
Lane led the way with a personal-best time of 24:31.10 to place fourth overall. Lachman followed close behind in fifth at 24:35.90, as both runners picked up their first career All-Centennial honors. Lane becomes just the 10th rookie in conference history—and the first from Haverford since Anders Hulleberg '09 in 2007—to earn a spot on the All-Conference First Team.
Senior Joseph DeRosa (Sewaren, N.J.) was also recognized on the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team, which honors one student-athlete from each institution as selected by their head coach.
The Fords return to action on Saturday, November 15, at the NCAA Metro Region Championships in Logan Township, N.J. The race, hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park, is set to begin at 11 a.m.
