Six from Men's Soccer Named to CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Six members of the Haverford College men's soccer team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, student-athletes must be sophomores or older, hold at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or started at least 66 percent of them. Haverford's honorees include Josh Brown, Jonathan D'Amour, Andrew Fritz, Kieran Kunihiro, Carter Kroenke, and Thomas Vanni. Fritz, Kunihiro, and Vanni all earned the distinction for a second straight season, and Fritz becomes a three-time honoree following the 2025 campaign.

Brown, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, was a steadying presence for the Fords. He started 15 games and made 17 total appearances, scoring two goals, including the game-winner against Susquehanna on Sept. 13. He added an assist for a five-point season.

A central engine in midfield, D'Amour delivered a breakout sophomore campaign, finishing third on the team with 11 points on a team-best five goals and one assist. After netting a two-goal performance at Immaculata on Sept. 3, the Dennis, Massachusetts, native scored in back-to-back games against Dickinson on Oct. 11 and Farmingdale State on Oct. 15. His work rate and two-way play also bolstered a defensive unit that allowed just nine goals all season and posted one of the top goals-against averages in the nation.

Fritz secured his third straight CSC All-District nod in a season that also saw him earn Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship recognition. The Ellicott City, Maryland, native recorded five points on two goals and one assist, scoring in the season opener against Arcadia.

A dominant force in the air, Kunihiro anchored a historic Haverford back line. The senior helped lead a defense that produced 12 shutouts, allowed just nine goals, and finished with a 0.448 goals-against average, the fifth-best mark in Division III at the end of the Fords' season. He also contributed offensively, tying for fourth on the team with seven points (three goals, one assist), highlighted by the game-winning strike in Haverford's upset of No. 2 Rowan on Sept. 16.

Kroenke, of Portland, Oregon, appeared in all 20 contests and made 18 starts. He tallied an assist against Susquehanna on Sept. 13 and fired three shots on goal. Emerging as a long-throw-in specialist, he logged 1,395 minutes in his junior campaign.

Vanni, the team's primary playmaker, elevated the Scarlet and Black attack throughout a standout junior season. The Wilmington, Delaware, native tied for the team lead in points (13) and delivered a Centennial Conference-leading nine assists, which ranked 17th nationally entering the NCAA tournament. He added two goals, including the game-sealer in the upset of No. 2 Rowan on Sept. 16 and the equalizer against Washington College on Oct. 4. His season included two multi-assist efforts, highlighted by a three-assist outing at Farmingdale State on Oct. 15 and two assists in the win against Arcadia.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, honor the nation's top student-athletes for their combined excellence on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and the NAIA.
