Haverford College

Melissa Scanzano joined the Haverford Women’s Lacrosse program as an Assistant Coach prior to the 2023 season.

Scanzano comes to Haverford after previously serving as an assistant soccer coach at Immaculata for two seasons. With the Mighty Macs, Scanzano assisted in scheduling, planning, and conducting practice sessions and was tasked with setting and monitoring team goals while equipping the team with the tools necessary to achieve those goals.

A four-year starter for both the women’s soccer and lacrosse programs as an undergraduate at Cabrini University, she was named CSAC Player of the Year following the 2014 season and also earned three total All-CSAC first-team selections during an illustrious tenure as a multi-sport athlete for the Cavaliers. Scanzano was also twice named All-CSAC first-team for women’s soccer and was the team captain of the women's soccer program for two years. 

Scanzano currently works as an Underwrighting Assistants for Personal Lines at United States Liability Insurance in Wayne, Pa. and resides in Havertown, Pa.
