HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College Department of Athletics has released its 2025-26 Annual Report, highlighting a year of competitive achievement, academic excellence, community engagement and meaningful progress toward enhancing the student-athlete experience at the College. 

The interactive report features season recaps for all 23 varsity programs while celebrating the student-athletes, coaches, staff members, alumni, families and friends who helped make the past year memorable. It also details progress on the Athletics Action Plan, community service efforts, facility improvements, fundraising success and opportunities to remain connected with the Fords.

Highlights from the 2025-26 academic year include:

• Women's lacrosse captured the first Centennial Conference regular-season championship in program history, earned the top seed in the conference tournament and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. The Fords have now appeared in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
   
• Men's soccer completed its first unbeaten season since 1945, finishing 10-0-10 and returning to the Centennial Conference Tournament for the first time since 2019. Haverford allowed just nine goals across 20 matches.
   
• Field hockey earned three nationally ranked victories for the first time in program history, climbed as high as No. 16 nationally and matched the program record with 14 wins.
   
• Softball recorded 28 victories, matching the second-highest total in program history, and advanced to the Centennial Conference championship game for the first time in seven years.
   
• Men's squash captured the Conroy Cup at the College Squash Association Team Divisional Championships, securing the program's first divisional title and first team championship since 2017.
   
• First-year Simon Lane placed sixth in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships to earn first-team All-America honors. Jory Lee added second-team All-America recognition in the triple jump at the NCAA indoor championships.
   
• Academic excellence remained a hallmark of the department, with 298 student-athletes earning Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition. Carly Priest and Owen Bluman were named Centennial Conference Scholar-Athletes of the Year, while Priest also received the conference's Academic Performer of the Year award.
   
• Approximately 105 Haverford student-athletes volunteered at the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Fall Festival at Villanova University. Teams and student-athletes also supported numerous service initiatives throughout the year, including the ALS 3K Run/Walk, Thanksgiving Food Drive and MLK Day of Service.
   
• Haverford continued to advance the Athletics Action Plan by expanding access to nutrition and mental health resources, introducing a student-athlete fueling station, strengthening affinity groups and investing in coaching and competitive resources.
   
• Significant facility projects were advanced or completed, including the reconstruction of the Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts, artificial turf upgrades, resurfaced track and field areas, new cricket practice and competition turf, new grandstand seating at Swan Field and improvements to the fitness center and athletic training room.
   
• Friends of Haverford Athletics contributed more than $380,000 through GameDay Fords, with 1,245 donors helping the department reach its goal of two donors for every student-athlete. The sixth annual Haverford Athletics Golf Outing at Merion Golf Club raised an additional $109,000.

Across the past four seasons, 21 of Haverford's 23 varsity programs have competed for a conference championship, while 10 different programs have earned NCAA Championship representation through team or individual qualification.

The annual report also looks ahead to another exciting year for the Fords, including the Friends of Haverford Athletics Tailgate on Aug. 22, Athletics Homecoming on Oct. 3 and Alumni Weekend from June 3-6, 2027.
