CARLISLE, Pa. — The 21st-ranked Haverford College women's lacrosse team (11-4, 4-2 CC) earned its fourth Centennial Conference victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Dickinson (6-10, 1-6 CC) by a score of 13–6 at Biddle Field.
Junior Bella Gattuso spearheaded the Fords' attack with a breakout performance, netting a season-high seven goals—matching the second-most in a single game in program history, a mark last reached by Sam Silverman against Washington College on April 5, 2023—and added an assist to finish with eight points.
Senior Tiffany Mikulis added a hat trick—her sixth of the season—while both Mikulis and Brooke Epstein tallied a team-high three draw controls on the afternoon. On the defensive end, Natalie Bole caused a season-high three turnovers, and Finley Jordan picked up four ground balls. In goal, Annie Bravacos stopped nine shots in an impressive effort between the pipes, while Ella Salvador and Rachel Marlin added three and one saves, respectively in relief action.
In a low-scoring opening quarter, Dickinson's Faith Parker gave the Red Devils a 1–0 lead at the 8:09 mark, but Gattuso answered just over a minute later to tie things at 1–1.
Gattuso opened the second quarter with her second goal of the game and then assisted on an Epstein tally to give Haverford a 3–1 advantage. She added another goal to push the lead to 4–1 with 11:02 left in the half. Dickinson's Delaney Herbert scored late in the quarter, cutting the Fords' lead to 4–2 at halftime.
As she had in the previous frame, Gattuso kicked off the third quarter with another goal to make it 5–2. Haverford then exploded with four more goals—one from Mikulis, a man-up goal from Gattuso, and further scores from Bole and Gattuso (twice more, in fact)—to take a commanding 10–2 lead. Epstein recorded an assist on the Fords' 10th goal of the morning, reaching 50 career assists in the process.
Dickinson responded with a goal to make it 10–3, but Mikulis answered with her second to restore the eight-goal margin heading into the fourth.
Parker later netted her second of the day early in the final quarter, and Meghan McDonald added a free-position goal to bring Dickinson within six at 11–5. Louis Coughlin then found the back of the net to make it 12–5, and Mikulis followed with her third to extend the lead to 13–5. A late goal from Sage Whiteside brought the final score to 13–6, as Haverford secured a convincing road win.
The No. 21 Fords will return to action on Wednesday, April 23, traveling to Chestertown, Md., for a 7 p.m. matchup with Washington College.
