No. 20 Kenyon Defeats Women's Tennis in Florida Matchup, 7-0

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Following the postponement of their match against No. 27 Grinnell in Altamonte Springs on Monday due to rain, the Haverford College women's tennis (1-2) team was back under sunny skies as they faced No. 20 Kenyon (6-3) on Tuesday, falling 7-0 at the Winter Park Tennis Center.

Kenyon took an early lead in doubles play, sweeping all three matches to secure the first point of the day. On court three, Sai Dhanvi Lalasa Nagireddy and Marguerite Shope defeated Caroline Gay and Erika Phanord, 6-0. Hanna Nouaime and Eleni Lazaridou followed with a 6-1 win over Rachael Fitzgerald and Lucy King on court one. The Owls completed the sweep on court two as Shadia Amado Aguad and Clare Hudson edged Abhishree Menon and Mallika Reddy, 6-4, in a tightly contested match.

In singles action, Kenyon clinched the match with a dominant performance. Lazaridou secured the Owls' second point with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Fitzgerald on court one. Nouaime followed on court four, defeating Phanord 6-2, 6-2.

Hudson extended Kenyon's lead, clinching things at 4-0 with a 6-4, 6-1 win against Reddy on court three. On court two, Amado Aguad battled past King in a tightly contested match, prevailing 7-6 (8-6), 6-3. Nagireddy added another point with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Menon on court five, while Ackerman closed out the match by besting Gay 6-0, 6-2, on court six.

Haverford returns to action on Thursday, March 13, facing another tough test with a pair of matches. First up is a matchup against No. 37 Bethel at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. First serve is set for 12 p.m. before the Fords head to Lakeland for a nightcap with Rhodes at 6:30 p.m. to close out the Orlando stint.
