Full Liberty League Academic Award Release
HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Liberty League office announced its 2024-25 winter All-Academic teams on Thursday, with Haverford College women's squash leading the way with nine honorees on the annual listing.
A record 410 winter sport student-athletes earned All-Academic honors this season, surpassing the previous high of 386 set in 2023-24. The Liberty League's winter championship sports included in the release are men's and women's basketball, men's and women's squash, and men's and women's swimming and diving.
To qualify for All-Academic recognition, student-athletes must be sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30.
In total, nine members of the Haverford women's squash team team earned the honor, with Matilda Chartener (Concord, Mass.), Catherine Fortin (Ipswich, Mass.), Aman Hamdard (New York, N.Y.), Nayera Hasan (Cairo, Egypt), Sarah Kotapka (Berwyn, Pa.), Zoe Liu (Brooklyn, N.Y.) Joelle Phuah (Selangor, Malaysia), Amy Saxon (Scarsdale, N.Y.), and Ariana Solecki (Brooklyn, N.Y.), all receiving the award for the Fords.
Earlier this month, Haverford staked its claim at the Liberty League Championships, delivering a dominant performance against No. 29 William Smith to take third place at the Robie Squash Center in Canton, N.Y.
