HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's indoor track and field team posted strong results in front of a packed Alumni Field House at the 2025 Keogh Invitational.
The 4x200 meter relay kicked off the home meet, with the team of Anna Berry, Adriana Cruz-Soto, Taylor Allert, and Nadine Tang racing to a time of 1:59.20.
The mile followed the 4x200 meter relay, with first-year Bianca Ortiz smashing her previous personal best of 5:51.92 by 10 seconds. Ortiz finished in third place with a time of 5:41.92. Krysta Nichols followed Ortiz in eighth place with a time of 5:53.37, while Judy Xie placed 18th with a time of 6:42.29. Natalie Kruglyak claimed 20th place with a time of 6:51.40.
In the 60 meters, sophomore Nadine Tang continued her strong season with another personal best, racing to a time of 8.21, good for second place.
Tang and Cruz-Soto then moved to the 200 meters, where Tang earned ninth place with a time of 28.17, while Cruz-Soto finished 11th with a time of 28.84.
In the 400 meters, Rachel November picked up a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:05.19, followed by Carly Priest, who claimed a new personal best time of 1:06.98 for seventh place.
In the Haverford-heavy 800 meters, Anastasia Jaycobs took home third place with a new personal best time of 2:20.16, the 10th-best mark in Haverford history. She was followed by Savannah Shaw, who also set a new personal best, racing to a time of 2:23.59, good for fifth place. Just behind Shaw in sixth place was Dominique La Grenade, who garnered a new personal best time of 2:27.78. Another personal best was set by Jessie Hausman, who grabbed ninth place with a time of 2:31.86, followed by Maia Poremba, who finished in 16th place with a new personal best time of 2:40.20. Rounding out the Haverford contingent was Betty Baraki, who earned 18th place with a time of 2:45.62.
Alice Sappenfield led the Fords' quartet in the 3,000 meters, collecting a new personal best time of 11:12.06 to finish second overall. Just behind the sophomore was Julianna Watson, who also set a new personal best, finishing in third place with a time of 11:36.81. Audrey Carter placed seventh with a time of 12:33.58, while Claire Parsons recorded a new personal best time of 12:43.10 for ninth place.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Beatrice Di Girolamo notched seventh place with a time of 10.15, while teammate Ella Fleming earned a new personal best time of 10.96 for 12th place.
Haverford's dynamic duo also competed in the high jump, where Di Girolamo and Fleming placed third and fourth, respectively, with personal best jumps of 1.37 meters (4 feet, 6 inches), tying for 10th overall in Haverford history.
In the triple jump, Grace Hannigan set a new personal best, leaping to a distance of 10.62 meters (34 feet, 10.25 inches) for second place, while teammate Zofi Sanders claimed seventh place with a jump of 8.84 meters (29 feet).
In the long jump, Hannigan claimed third place with a leap of 4.92 meters (16 feet, 1.75 inches), while Di Girolamo set a new personal best jump of 4.66 meters (15 feet, 3.5 inches) for sixth place. Fleming finished ninth with a jump of 4.57 meters (15 feet), while Sanders placed 13th with a leap of 3.92 meters (12 feet, 10.5 inches).
In the shot put, senior Summer Ryan earned a sixth-place finish after launching the shot put 10.43 meters (34 feet, 3 inches).
The 4x400 meter relay capped off the Keogh Invitational with a first-place victory, as the team of Berry, November, Hannigan, and Jaycobs dashed to a time of 4:14.81.
The Fords will return to action on Saturday, March 1, for the two-day Centennial Conference Championship Meet in Lancaster, Pa., hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
