HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's cross country team placed three standouts on the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Micah Lachman, the USTFCCCA Metro Region Runner of the Year, added the academic honor to a decorated 2025 campaign. Lachman claimed the individual title at the Rowan Border Battle, finished fifth at the Centennial Championships, and placed 22nd at both the Paul Short Run and the Main Line Invitational. Lachman closed out another impressive season with first-team All-Centennial Conference recognition, building on a résumé that already included USTFCCCA All-Region honors in 2023 and an NCAA Championships appearance that same year.

Junior Torin Pelton-Flavin earned his spot on the Academic All-Area Team following a strong fall that featured USTFCCCA All-Metro Region honors and USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition. Pelton-Flavin placed 30th at the NCAA Metro Region Championships and continued his academic success with a second straight selection to the Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Joining him is fellow junior Owen Bluman, who also collected USTFCCCA All-Metro Region honors and repeated as a member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. Bluman was a steady scorer for the Fords throughout the fall and returned to the Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2025.

The Academic All-Area Teams, voted on by sports information offices from 30 Philadelphia-area colleges and universities, recognize student-athletes who excel both competitively and academically. Nominees must play a key role on their team while maintaining strong academic standing.
