Men's Basketball Rolls Past Rosemont, 90-48

HAVERFORD, Pa. — The Haverford College men's basketball team (2–0) secured a dominant 90–48 victory over Rosemont (0–2) on Wednesday evening under the lights of Gooding '84 Arena. The Fords controlled the game from start to finish, scoring 64 points in the paint and converting 31 points off the Ravens' 24 turnovers. Haverford's bench also made a major impact with 41 points, while the defense held Rosemont to just 24 points in each half.

Haverford set the tone early with its strong interior presence, beginning with a tip-in from Christian Uremovich to open the scoring. The Fords continued to attack inside with key contributions from Niko Rizos and Adam Strong-Jacobson. A three-pointer from Rosemont's Brandon Moore briefly slowed the momentum, but Haverford's defensive pressure proved overwhelming. The Fords forced 10 turnovers and grabbed 23 rebounds in the opening frame, while timely three-pointers from Tyler Nolan, Raja Coleman, and Rizos helped send Haverford into halftime with a 44–24 lead.

The Fords' dominance in the first half was evident statistically, as they recorded 30 points in the paint—tripling Rosemont's output—and turned 10 turnovers into 12 points. Effective ball movement led to 13 assists on 19 made field goals, further extending their advantage.

Haverford continued to control the game in the second half. Strong-Jacobson opened the period with a layup at 19:35, setting the pace for another impressive offensive stretch. He added multiple baskets throughout the half, including a highlight-reel fast-break dunk following a defensive rebound at 16:58. Haverford's defense forced 14 more turnovers after the break, while Kae Kilic capped the night with back-to-back three-pointers to close out the 90–48 win.

The Fords outscored Rosemont 46–24 in the second half, powered by 34 points in the paint and a 24–11 rebounding advantage. Haverford also scored 13 fast-break points and turned 14 turnovers into 19 points. Second-chance opportunities played a critical role as well, with the Fords holding a 23–0 advantage in second-chance points, fueled by 20 offensive rebounds.

Strong-Jacobson led the way with a season-high 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting, while recording a double-double with 10 rebounds. Rizos posted a season-best 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and collected four rebounds. Nolan added a season-high 13 points, two steals, and three assists. Carter Warren orchestrated the offense with six assists and three rebounds.

Moore paced Rosemont with nine points and six rebounds, converting both of his free-throw attempts. Chris Taylor added seven points and two rebounds, while Robert Sukaly also scored seven points on 3-of-5 shooting.

Haverford returns to Gooding '84 Arena on Saturday, Nov. 15, when the Fords host Misericordia at 3 p.m.
